Iowa to Wisconsin Dells Trip

Beautifully carved chairs at the Norwegian-American Museum.

Laura Ingalls Wilder and her family lived and worked at this inn for a few months in the town of Burr Oak, Iowa.

A visit to Baraboo, WI, at the Circus World Museum.

Many elaborate circus wagons from many places.

Cinderella's carriage
This is not as difficult as it looks!

Cornfields and more cornfields

White Rose Bed and Breakfast, Wisconsin Dells

Perfect weather for a breakfast on the patio
Wisconsin Dells boat ride

A boardwalk took us through some interesting rock formations.

Can you see the face on these rocks?

Chimney rock formations or a stack of pancakes?

Because these rocks are soft under their outer crust,

tree roots are able to grow as long as 45 feet.

A little background info for those who are interested...

There is a 5 1/2 foot gap between these rocks.

Will the dog be able to jump across?

He did it!!!

So Roy decided to give it a try.
Actually, this is a famous photo by the inventor of the camera shutter.

A tight squeeze for our boat going in...
...and coming out.

Twin Rocks

Anvil Rock

For once Roy does not mind being between a rock and a hard place.

Evening on the Dells...
